Gloria Jones Walker

Today, family and friends have gathered together to celebrate the home going of Gloria Jean Jones Walker. It was on April 5th, 1946, that God in his infinite wisdom used earthly vessels, Catherine Jones, mother (deceased) to bring into the world one who would become a valued family member, and a trusting friend to those who welcomed her kind and loving spirit.  At a very young age her mother joined in matrimony with John H. Moses Sr. (deceased) who graciously accepted the role of father for Gloria.

She was educated in the Glynn County school system and graduated from Risley High school in 1964. At an early age Gloria mastered the skill of being a seamstress and decorator until her health failed. As well, she was revered for her skill as a baker and pastry maker, on a local level as well as mail order. Her delicious delights will truly be missed by many. Those who knew her (well) were intrigued by her natural intuitive ability as she helped many as counselor, problem solver, coach and especially childcare services provider.

On October 10th, 1967, she joined in holy matrimony with Fletcher E. Walker Jr. and to that union two children were born Nicole Michelle Walker (deceased) and Fletcher E. Walker III. This union was dissolved in 1987.  During their military career she experienced extensive traveling and enjoyed military life.  Michelle blessed her mother with three grandsons whom she loved and cherished. She lived to see them advance in their careers in the US Army.

She leaves cherished memories to; Fletcher E Walker III (son); Marcus J. Seldon II (Ashanti), Walker V. Seldon (Amber), and Nicholas M. Seldon (Grandsons) William Ash (very devoted son in law); Waverly A. Seldon, Kai Seldon (great grands) 3 Sisters Mable J. Maxwell, Patricia A. Moses, Rose Moses Sharpe (Arthur) 2 brothers Rodney L. Moses (deceased), John H. Moses Jr. and a host of sorrowing family members and friends. She will be truly missed by ALL.
