Obituary

Isabel Kathleen McCullars, lovingly known as Isabel, passed away on May 22, 2023, in Birmingham, AL. Born on January 18, 2022, in Atlanta, GA, Isabel was a gentle and intelligent soul who brought immense love and joy to the world.

Isabel was the cherished daughter of Drew and Jessica McCullars, who loved their little caboose with all their hearts. She was the adored little sister of Peyton McCullars, whom she followed with admiration and laughter. Isabel was also the beloved granddaughter of Lamar and Dorenda Weaver, Wayde and Suzanne Washburn, Dr. Charles and Teresa Cooper, and Dale and Celeste McCullars. She was the great-granddaughter of Betty Sims, Pearl Mitchell, and Betty Weaver. Additionally, she was a dear niece to Sydney Weaver, Josh and Dana Newton, Shane and DeeDee Miller, and Gary and Deidra Snider.

Isabel was a loving and gentle child who easily captured the hearts of those around her. With her beautiful hair and bright blue eyes, she stole the hearts of all who knew her. Her intelligence was evident in her love for reading books, which she enjoyed more than any toy.

Isabel's deep bond with her brother Peyton was apparent to all who knew them. She loved following him around and going to his baseball games, until the cheering got too loud for her taste.  She was very playful with her brother and thought everything he did was entertaining.

Isabel's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world around her with curiosity and determination. She enjoyed walking anywhere she could, observing everything happening around her, even to the point of being a bit nosey. Her love for socializing was evident in her interactions with everyone she encountered.

Music held a special place in Isabel's heart, and she loved listening to people sing.  She had begun to start singing along, as well.  Her favorite songs were Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, My Favorite Things, and Blackbird by the Beatles.

One of Isabel's favorite parts of the day was mealtime, as she truly relished the experience of eating and trying new foods.  Her favorites were banana and cheese.

Isabel's loving nature touched the lives of all around her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will continue to cherish the memories they shared with her and the light she brought to the world.

As we remember Isabel Kathleen McCullars, let us celebrate the love and joy she brought to those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her gentle spirit and genuine smile serve as a reminder of the beauty that can be found in the world, and may her memory live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
