Katie B. Glisson, 93, of Columbus, GA died Monday, February 22, 2021 in Ellerslie, GA.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemask and social distancing will be required during the visitation and graveside service. Katie was born July 27, 1927 in Noma, FL to the late John O. Bell and Annie Register Bell. She worked as an administrator for Williams Construction Company. She was a member of Oates Avenue Baptist and moved to Beallwood Baptist where she helped with any activity she could. She loved Braves Baseball, Collage Football and was an avid Florida Fan. She loved to cook and was known for her chocolate cake, she loved being a mother and grandmother. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Glisson.

She is survived by her daughter, Darlene VanPelt of Columbus, GA, son, David Glisson (Tammy) of Ellerslie, GA, grandchildren, Kelli Reese (Bill) of Missoula, MT, April Waldran (Shane) of Columbus, GA, Courtney Givens of Columbus, GA, Lindsey McLemore (Bryan) of Columbus, GA, Hayley Glisson of Dallas, TX, great-grandchildren, Samuel Reese, Emily Reese, Bethany Reese, Katelynn Johnson, Lexie Sirard, Ethan Waldran, Shiloh Jolly, Camden Maclemore, Madison McLemore, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
