Kerry "Buddy" Wade Bonin

Kerry "Buddy" Wade Bonin, 51, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Buddy will be remembered at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 24, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Kerry was born into a Military family on October 15, 1969 in Columbus, GA to the late O’Niel Joseph Bonin, Sr. and Sybil Jeanette Bonin and was the youngest of four siblings.

Kerry was always known to everyone as Buddy. After moving around from different military bases with his parents and siblings, Buddy graduated from Shaw High School in Columbus. He earned a Surgical Technician Certificate from Columbus Tech. He became a surgical tech for Colquitt Regional in Moultrie, GA. Buddy enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, hoping to strike it rich by finding a hidden treasure. He also dreamed of winning the Mega Millions and buying gifts for those he loved. Buddy’s greatest achievement was becoming a father to two daughters, Haley and Maddie, whom he loved very much.

Survivors include his daughters, Haley Madison Bonin of Moultrie, GA, Madelynn Marie Bonin of Moultrie, GA; former spouse, Elizabeth Bonin of Moultrie, GA; brothers, O’Neil Joseph Bonin, Jr. (Rena) of New Iberia, LA, Mark Allen Bonin (Kathy) of Brooksville, FL; a sister, Libby Bonin-Campos (Michael) of Columbus, GA; nieces and nephews, Ryan Bonin (Megan) (Emma, Kassidy, Hayden) of New Iberia, LA, Kate Bonin (Pat) (Tori, Baliegh, Fisher) of New Iberia, LA, Dustin Bonin of New Iberia, LA, Matthew Bonin (Jessica) (Olivia, Andrew) of Valrico, FL, Kristy Jones (Quinten) (Emmitt, Kallen, Torren) of Mimms, FL, Kelly Jean Makinster (Otto) of Brooksville, FL, Emily Kennedy (Anthony) of Woodstock, GA, Chris Campos (Katelyn) of Acworth, GA; numerous cousins, other family, and many close friends.
