Lauren Anne Ford, 19, of Columbus, GA died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2100 Hilton Ave., Columbus, GA 31906 with Reverend Grace Burton-Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Miss Ford was born October 11, 1996 in Columbus, GA, daughter of Nathan Ford of Columbus, GA and Brantley Boyd Lewis of Columbus, GA. She was a graduate of Shaw High School and completed her first semester of college at Armstrong College. While at Shaw High School, she was editor of "The Silver Star Magazine; member of Shaw High golf team; Shaw Raider Mascot for four years; 2015 Shaw High School Class President; editor of Shaw High "Shipwrecked"; member of Skills USA, Green Club and Model United Nations; and was a Georgia Girls State Delegate. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was very involved in St. Thomas Youth Ministry and Camp Mikell Ministry.
Survivors include her mother, Brantley Boyd Lewis and step-father, Kenny Lewis of Columbus, GA; father, Nathan Ford of Columbus, GA; brother, Wilson Ford; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Sonya Boyd; paternal grandparents, Robert Ford (Jane) and Nanci Ford; aunts and uncles, Kimberly Ford, Mebynie Boyd, Jeremy Wallace, Arthur and Gwen Bryant, Tony and Teresa Lewis, Robert and Melissa Lewis, and Ben and Jennifer Lewis; cousins, Jasper Wallace-Boyd, Noah Wallace-Boyd, Sophia Wallace-Boyd, and numerous other loving cousins.
