Mr. Leon S. Chapman, 89, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Magnolia Manor.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Friday, May 5, 2023 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Leon was born March 5, 1934 in Craft, TX. He served 27 years in the military and was awarded two Bronze Stars with V Device.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandchild, Bryan King.

He is survived by his children, Leon S. Chapman, III (Sun), John R. Chapman (Marcell), Michael W. Chapman, Sharon Kay Chapman, Beverly Ann Decker (Kent), Penny Jean Otis (David), grandchildren, Leon Chapman, IV, Charles Chapman, Joan Decker, Jeff Decker, Austin Decker, Sarah Calbreath, AJ King, grandchildren, Meghan Rolon (Sergio), Michelle Rollins (Shane), DJ Otis, Dani Otis, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Chapman, Joshua Chapman, Sophia Chapman, Katie Chapman, Aden Otis, Anora Rolon, Elias Rolon, Samantha King, Kristina King, Lexie Calbreath, Kinzie Calbreath, Jase Calbreath, Peyton Foxworth, Addlyn Rollins and Kole Rollins.
