Lynn Sample Obituary
Lynn Roland Sample, 64, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM EST Monday, September 10, 2018 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL with Rev. Allison Owen officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Sample was born August 1, 1954 in Akron, OH son of the late Glenn Roland Sample and Ellen Leslie Martin Sample. He was the Property Manager for Battle Park Homes in Ft. Benning. He was an avid Auburn football fan and his grandchildren called him "Aubie".
Survivors include his loving wife, Susie Lee Sample of Columbus, GA, sons, Adam Sample of Manchester, GA and Benjamin Porter (Mojca) of Port Wentworth, GA, daughters, Jessica Peyton (Michael) and Leslie Chadwick (Brad) all of Columbus, GA, brother, Darrell Sample of Alford, FL, sisters, Vicki Padget (Tom) of Warner Robins, GA, Teresa Taylor (Gene) of Sylacauga, AL and Colleen Sample (Eleanor) of San Antonio, TX, 5 grandchildren, Natalee Peyton, Kallen Chadwick, Naomi Peyton, Bennett Sample and Griffin Mitja, and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the Columbus Hospice team, especially, Wendy, Marvylin, Debbie and Allison.
