Mary Titus McElwee

Mary Titus McElwee, 78, of Fortson, GA died Monday, September 27, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2021 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Emanuel Vasconcelos officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday September 30, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31097. Interment will be held 1:30 PM at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mary was born November 16, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late James F. Titus and Gladys Feuer Titus. She was a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army and work with Civil Service as a nurse. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and Columbus Adult Lifetime Leaner. She loved writing, spending time with her grandchildren and family. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Stanley McElwee and brother, John Titus.

She is survived by her children; Scott McElwee (Monika) of Hamilton, GA, Tammy Lesh (John) of Columbus, GA, Kim Griffin (Charlie) of Fortson, GA, brother, James Titus (Bonnie) of Pittsburg, PA, sister, Jane Titus of Pittsburg, PA, grandchildren, Abbelin Rose, Andrew Lesh, Katelyn Lesh, Drake Griffin, Jaclyn Griffin, Kendall McElwee, Ashton McElwee, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
