Michael Eugene Craig, 60, of Fortson, GA died Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Monday, October 19,2020 at Cascade Hills Church with Pastor Ken Dawson officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Michael was born January 19, 1960 in Columbus, GA to the late Eugene Laverne and Jeanette Williamson Craig. He was the Assistant District Attorney for Columbus Consolidated Government. He received his undergraduate degree from Columbus State University. Then, furthered his education at Mississippi College School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1998. Michael wanted to work in government service simply because he wanted to help people. He was a very compassionate person who always wanted a fair outcome for everyone involved in a case.

He is survived by his wife Ashley Martin Craig of Fortson, GA, daughters Kaitlin Craig and Ally Craig and son Cal Lavoie. Michael was a loving husband and father who cared for his family deeply. He wore the hats of Little League Coach, Volleyball Dad, and Dance Dad. He loved watching his children do what they loved. He always will be loved by everyone who knew him.

Michael loved Auburn football, cycling, mountain biking, and spending time with his family. He was always active and ready for an adventure. His new found love of gardening produced an array of vegetables that he would quickly move to the dinner table.
