Paul Stewart Jimmerson

Paul Stewart Jimmerson, 84, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Piedmont Columbus Regional – Northside.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Glenn Anthony Baptist Church with Pastor Jared Owens, Lane Jimmerson, and Garrett Jimmerson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

Paul was born August 9, 1938 on his family’s farm in Opelika, AL to the late William John Jimmerson, Jr. and Minnola Perry Jimmerson. He graduated from Beulah High School where he played basketball and drove the bus. He retired from Chevron Oil Company after 35 years of service. He enjoyed spending time on his property in Opelika, AL and cherished the time spent with family and friends that gathered there. One of his greatest passions was fishing, and he had a wide range of skills that allowed him to fix or build almost anything.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Jimmerson, Perry Jimmerson; sisters, Elizabeth Brazeal, Marie Tullos; and Jerry Bell.       

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Jimmerson of Columbus, GA; children, Lisa Weems (Rick) of Columbus, GA, Stewart Jimmerson (Melanie) of Opelika, AL, Lane Jimmerson (Debbie) of Columbus, GA, Barbie Webb (Tim) of Columbus, GA, Sherry Russell (Tommy) of Salem, AL, Stacy Wilson (Isaac) of Greer, South Carolina; brother, Kenneth Jimmerson of Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Shane Morris (Heather), Lindsey Fossa (Corey), Ava Webb, Whitney Edwards (Drew), Chase Weems (Gabrielle), Jordan Weems, Kendall Jimmerson, Neil Jimmerson (Kaitlyn), Katherine Jimmerson, Morgan Jimmerson, Garrett Jimmerson, Corey Cummings (Kendall), Kyle Cummings (CiCi), Dylann Russell; great grandchildren, Mason Morris, Mackenzie Morris, Moxon Morris, Kinley Edwards, Campbell Edwards, Collier Edwards, Camden Fossa, Collins Fossa, Ryan Watkins, Kylie Jimmerson, Palmer Cummings, Phoebe Cummings, Kinsley Cummings, and Caiden Cummings.
