Obituary

Perry Alto Floyd, 92, of Columbus, GA died Thursday July 21, 2022 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Danny Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.

Perry was born October 11, 1929 to the late Alto Floyd and Mattie Wilson Floyd.  He worked at Sunshine as a mixer for over 35 years. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch NASCAR. One of his passions was building and racing his own drag cars. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. Floyd and son, Gary Dukes.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Dukes Guitrau (Paul) of Denham Springs, LA, sons, Terry Floyd (Kim) of Dothan, AL, Keith Floyd of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Christopher Floyd, Heather Floyd (Marc), Brandy Dukes, Daniel Floyd, Sammy Floyd, 5 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Louise Perry, of Clinton Township, MI, Janice Hill, of Apopka, FL,  and Joan Sparks of Smiths Station, AL.
