Phillip Stephen Little

Phillip Stephen Little, “Stephen”, 51, of Columbus, Georgia went home to rest in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Piedmont Hospital. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Edgewood Assembly of God, 2020 Morris Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the services at the church.

Stephen was born on April 16, 1972 in Columbus, GA, to Phil and Cheryl Little. Stephen was a graduate of Hardaway High school and a tax preparer at R&T Tax Service in Columbus, GA for 27 years.  

Stephen was a devoted and wonderful father, son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. Stephen loved Jesus and it was evident, especially in his last few months here with us. He always had a smile on his face and one of his many gifts from God was being an encourager. He never had anything negative to say about anyone. His spirit was positive, loving and gentle. He was a gentle giant.  

Stephen’s favorite thing was being a dad. He loved being a girl dad and all of the tea parties, dress up, and the barbies and baby dolls that came with it. He was also a wonderful cat dad! They loved their kitties. His girls and the rest of his family and friends were his life. There is nothing in the world he would rather do than spend time with his family and close friends. In addition to being the greatest dad in the world, he was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents William and Sue Goodson and great niece Lainey Evans.  

Stephen is survived by his daughters, Tara Little, Dagan Middleton, parents, Phil and Cheryl Little, brother, Clay Little (Kayte), sister, Susan Evans (Drew), uncles, Billy Goodson (Irene) and Glenn Goodson (Brenda), nieces and nephews, Holly Garrido(Levi), Pete Evans (Maddie)  and Will Evans; niece, Aubrey Skinner; great nieces and nephew, Izzy, Milo and Mila Garrido; cousins, Katherine Goodson (Chris), their sons Daniel, Maddox and Hayes; Kyle Goodson and son, Will; special second cousin, Eva Eagan (Tim), and many other extended family members that will cherish his memory. Life-long best friends Trey Breazeale, Hank Middleton and his brother, Clay will miss him greatly. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the church to help with Stephen’s girls during this difficult time.
