Mr. Ronald Jackson Rollins, 72, of Whitesville, GA died Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Canterbury Health Care Facility in Phenix City, AL.
The family will have a Celebration of Life gathering Friday, Oct. 2, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northwest Harris Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Rollins was born December 11, 1947 in Phenix City, AL to the late Minor Charles Rollins and Selma Earl Jackson. He was the owner and operator of Rollins Electronics and retired as Fire Chief from the Northwest Harris County Volunteer Fire Department after 30 years of service. He worked as a Correction Officer for the city of Manchester, GA, as well as a Correction Officer for Columbus Consolidated Government. Mr. Rollins graduated in 1966 from Central High School in Phenix City, AL. He continued his education at University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL in 1968 graduating with his Associates degree in United Electronics. He was a writer, storyteller and had a great interest for genealogy.
Other than his parents he is predeceased by his brother Bobby Rollins.
Survivors include his children, Ronald Joel Rollins of Whitesville, GA, Tina Rollins Moore (Sam) of Columbus, GA, William Charles Rollins of Columbus, GA, Amanda Marie Tuggle (Brandon), Melisa Lynn Pastor (Devon) both of Columbus, GA, sister, Arlene Anderson (John) of Palm Bay, Florida, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
