Sara B. Whaley, 80, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
A private Graveside service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Whaley was born April 30, 1935 in Roanoke, AL daughter of the late Walter P. and Sallie Mitchum Brand. She retired as a Unit Clerk in ICU at St. Francis Hospital and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Whaley is preceded in death by her husband, Lovvorn Whaley and grandson, Gregory Brian Whaley.
Survivors include her daughter, Libby Whaley Lewis (Danny) of Hamilton, GA, son, Greg Whaley (Teresa) of Fortson, GA, two sisters; Doris Griffin of Columbus, GA, Macie Hester of Jonesboro, GA, three grandchildren, Jennifer Deems, Brand Lewis and Thomas Lewis, and one great granddaughter, Whaley Rae Deems.
