Wanna Lee Chandler Gosdin, 92 of Columbus, Georgia died Friday, October 15, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907 with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Mrs. Gosdin was born September 15, 1929 in Shorterville, Alabama, daughter of the late Daniel B. and Bessie Killebrew Batts. She was a banker for 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a homemaker and a very active long-time member of Beallwood Baptist Church, serving in the Homebound Dept., Cornerstone Choir, and WMU Activities. She also served as church treasurer, as a Sunday school teacher, and was a member of Truth Seekers Sunday School Class. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny W. Chandler of forty six years, her husband Garfield Gosdin, five brothers, and her brother-in-law (AJ).

Survivors include her children and their families: David Chandler (Gina) of Columbia, MD and their sons, Dailey Chandler (Katie) of Bedford, PA, Joseph Chandler (Mandi) of Tallahassee, FL, and Andrew Chandler (Sarah) of Columbia, MD; Phillip J. Chandler (Pam) of Columbus, GA and their children, Annalee Eversman of Columbus, GA, Micah Chandler (Natalie) of Columbus, GA, Amelia Cox (John) of Columbus, GA, and Malachi Chandler of Columbus, GA; daughter, Patricia Rollins (Max) of Thomasville, NC and their children Matthew Rollins (Beth) of Lexington, NC, and Lindy Thompson (Chris) of Lexingon, NC. Step-daughter, Nancy Gosdin Meabon (Dave) of Perrysburg, OH, sister, Lillian Steverson (Bill) of Lake Wales, FL, brother, Curtis Batts of Candler, NC and 18 great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Beallwood Baptist Church, 4650 Veterans Parkway Columbus, Georgia 31904.
